The New Floor Plan

Here’s the new floor plan.
The dark lines are all the new walls and the existing house division that will be eliminated are the dashed lines. Click on the photo to see it larger.

My daughter’s room will be much bigger and she’ll have closet space. We’ll get a master bedroom and private bathroom and I will get an office!

I have worked from home since ’96. I’m not sure I’ll know how to work without balancing my laptop on my lap as I sit on the edge my bed while my children jump on the bed. I would love to have all of my computer equipment in a place that is safe and not reachable by the children.

By the way, you can remove permanent marker from a laptop screen using a cotton ball and rubbing alcohol. Trust me.

Here’s the new bathroom.

If the permit had not gone through, we would have had to move since we made a third bedroom impossible.

The new bathroom is great but it’s very cold. It’s winter and the room that it’s off of (I now call it the shed) has been stripped to the studs. The door is always shut because the cold air comes in from the ceiling and through the walls. The bathroom is finished but doesn’t get heat so much because it's attached to the non-heated room (the shed).

Isn't this a great room?

It looked a lot nicer when it had walls and ceiling...
