Your husband and I would likely kill each other--I'm a control freak who is definitely detail-oriented. ;)

I agree though that the project SEEMS easy enough to do. And, it seems like something you can do in small bites--electric, insulate, sheetrock, etc. What I like about it mostly is that it doesn't affect my living area at all. It can be a mess for months and I won't care because it's not directly affecting me. After the year we just had--that's the only disruption I can deal with!! ;)

I'd be tempted to go with projects in the main part of the house. I like the places I spend the most time to be comfortable.

We don't need A/C here, so that's an easy one for us.

But, it seems like some insulation, a little drywall, and some kind of sealed concrete floors (with stain-resistant rugs) would be somewhat simple.

Then, again, I'm always in the role of assistant and/or clean-up crew, so I don't often do that actual work since house-project-boy I'm married to is a perfectionist.
